No name clip, or sticker on the top, so as to look more real sometimes has the name on the end of the box. Ollivander's box - even nicer box with velvety lining and fabric overlay - replica of boxes from Ollivanders. Window boxes - cheapest option if you don't care about displaying the box at all, just a cardboard box with the characters picture on itĬharacter Boxes - nicer box with the character's name on a sticker on the top, also comes with a clip with the character's name on to attach either to the wand or the Noble Collection wand display cases The proper ones are all the same actual wands inside, but come in different types of boxes, going up in expensive-ness, depending on which ones you want to collect/how you want to display them: The 'toy' ones are smaller/shorter/lower quality, made more for kids or cosplay (being banged around at conventions etc). And hopefully I answered the right question. thank god for some helpful Youtube videos. Yeah, it's definitely a lot to take in when you first start looking at wands. Toy wands are better if you're worried about breakage, such as if a kid is going to play with them. The window boxes one might be better if you like the box or don't really care about displaying it. If you're going to take it out and carry it with you or put it in a display, it doesn't matter too much. For display purposes, the character wands are probably good, they can be stood up without the wand rolling out. I think it comes down to what you're using the wand for and what box you like best. The Universal one has a rigid like plastic cutout and the NC box can have a foam or fabric cover over them. They have different inserts for holding wands, too. I remember the universal ones have a similar box with a nametag on the side. The regular character wand boxes come in a thin box with a sticker on the top. it's got the pricier collectible boxes and the regular ones. NC has different types of boxes for some of the wands. Part of the box is clear so you can see the wand through it.Ī character wand is just the same wand with a different type of box, then. It has a picture of the character from the movie. I think the toy wands are shorter, too.Ī window box is just the type of box. The regular NC wands are resin, more breakable. They are made from plastic to hold up better under rough usage. I say generally speaking because toy wands are actually different. Barnes and Noble (perhaps other sites too?) also sell a version - it's the same wand, but the box is different. The Universal wands are the same as the ones sold on the site. So first of all, the Noble Collection wands are indeed the same, generally speaking, no matter where they are sold. Just found NC's UK site that will let me answer this a lot more clearly than I was trying to, lol. If anyone notices any inaccuracies, my apology, please correct them. Okay, I'm going to try to go on what I remember from looking at them a year or two ago.
